Sr. Cyber Security Analyst 
Location:Washington DC or Houston TX
Positions: Multiple positions  
Job Type: 6-12 + Month Contract + possible extenstion
Responsibilities:
This role is to deliver the Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Security Administration, Assurance and Investigations capabilities and ensure the delivery of our outsourced security providers within the Security Operations function. This role will require the candidate to become a subject matter expert in specific areas whilst having the ability to support other team members.

As the Information Security Analyst you will be responsible for a wide variety of technical and administrative information security tasks. In addition, you will play a key role in helping to administer and enforce the key components of the Security Program in the efforts to ensure the security and integrity of our infrastructure and key assets.
The successful candidate is likely to come from a technology, security specialist or engineering background but will also possess the highly developed communications and influencing skills necessary to simplify potentially complex issues and gain the commitment and buy-in from their business colleagues.
The role reports directly to the Cyber security operations manager,

 Cyber Security operations analyst:
  •  Collaborate with the security team to develop and deploy the Information Security strategy
  •  Report on 3rd party security services benchmarks against the organization's policies and ensure contractual requirements are met  (SLAs)
  •  Review information systems configuration to ensure they are operated to the required standard to maintain accurate and secure records
  •  Analyze security reports to identify trends and drive secure behaviors throughout the business
  •  Attend operational security workshops with key suppliers and support where appropriate
  • Track and manage operational issues from identification through to remediation or issue acceptance
  • Coordinate penetration tests, vulnerability scans, remediation activities and attend/lead security patching boards within the company
  • Track and manage vulnerabilities from identification through to remediation or risk acceptance
  • Manage and perform annual key services security assurance in line with the annual assurance schedule
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business areas and platform owners to provide ongoing assurance, helping to identify security risks in applications
  • Manage operational and regulatory issues, escalating as appropriate
  • Recommend controls and improvements to mitigate the company’s  exposure to IS security threats, vulnerabilities and risks
  • Liaise closely with the configuration management teams to ensure all assets are within the CMDB and security controls are implemented and updated on them appropriately

 Minimum Qualifications:
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in providing security assessments,
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in providing FISMA audits,
  • At least 5 years of experience in documenting policies’ guidelines and procedures in a state or federal government,
  • Have knowledge of NIST standard publications,
  • Have knowledge of FedRamp security baselines
  • Have knowledge of cloud-based systems security assessments
  • Have knowledge of cybersecurity and networking
  • Have an industry certification such as CISSP, CISM or SANS GIAC
  • Either be U. S. citizens or have lawful permanent resident status.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing and managing Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Incident
         Response, Security Operations, Assurance and Investigations function
  • Strong technical knowledge e.g. networking, remote access, firewalls, anti-virus, URL filtering, IPS
  • Knowledge of core infrastructure components e.g. DNS, Active Directory, Exchange
  • Excellent communication skills
