Senior Application Project Manager 
Location: Houston,TX 
Job Type: 6+ Month Contract 
Qualifications:
All candidates need to have:
  • Data Center experience: Specifically consolidation/migrations.
  • Large Scale Application Migrations: 20+ applications from one Data Center to another.
  • Discovery experience: Manual and electronic probes, application owner interviews, coordinating solution design for migration of applications, move-day coordination, go-live. 
  • Middleware technology experience: WebSphere, WebLogic, .NET, etc. 
  • Citrix experience (preferred) 

Job Description:
The Application PM also works in conjunction with the Business PM to facilitate the collection of application and data information which is required by the Migration Factory and Build Services. The Application PM is responsible for management of database migrations from existing Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and UDB platforms to new infrastructure leveraging high-density virtualization, CPU sharing, clustering, SRDF, and other replication technologies. The resource must have direct experience managing such projects and overseeing testing of enterprise application databases, and subsequent troubleshooting efforts. Ideally the candidate will also possess top-notch data management and analysis skills leveraging MS-Office tools. The Application PM must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of application architecture including application (in-house or off-the-shelf), middleware (weblogic, websphere, .NET, etc) and Database architecture. The Application PM must have experience with moving or migrating applications from one data center to another, or with large scale implementation or upgrade of enterprise wide application. 

This position will require technical collaboration with management, application development, and infrastructure engineering groups. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
