C# Developers 
Location: Houston, TX 
Job Length: 3 to 6 months Contract to Hire
Duties & Responsibilities: 
Will design, develop and maintain software on .Net platform. Candidates must have excellent analytical skills as well as a solid object oriented programming, good knowledge of project life cycles, large project experience, and the ability to mentor junior developers. Must be able to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the software delivered matches the business communities' needs. Must also be able to design and develop software in a group or independently. Must be able to conduct and assist in design and development reviews. Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.

Qualifications: 
  • Good communication skills.
  • Solid Object Oriented Programming.
  • 5+ years experience in application development.
  • 3+ years Microsoft Development experience.
  • 2+ using: C#, ASP.NET (Web Applications and Web Services), ADO.NET and SQL Server (must include current versions).
  • Good understanding of ASP.NET State Management and Caching.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, CIS or related
  • MCSD Certification preferred.

Skills Required
  • Very good knowledge of the .Net Framework and the Core Libraries. (this is key knowledge, more than language particular syntax)
  • Knowledge in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design and relational database principles required.
  • History of delivering XML-based, Web-service, Component-Based and Multi-Threaded applications to production.
  • Extensive practical experience with Design Patterns and OOD principles and methods.
  • Fluency with UML
  • Experience working in large project team development environments.
  • Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall development environments.
  • Database development (table and stored procedure design) using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong client-side skills including DHTML, JavaScript and HTML.
  • Fluency in English - excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Experience working in a regionally distributed development group.


Preferred Skills
  • Prior use of NAnt, NUnit, NDoc and CruiseControl.Net
  • 2+ years experience with ADO, Active X, COM+, RDO, Win 32 API.
  • Previous experience in COM/ASP, Java and/or C++ development environments.
