Mobile QA Analyst
Location: Denver, CO
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Responsible for testing effort of medium to large scale projects on mobile testing platforms.  Involved in writing test cases/scripts, test case automation recommendations, test case execution, along with logging defects. Handles projects of high complexity within one or more development environments.  Work on multiple programs/systems as a project team member.  Communicate the issues/risks to the team members and also actively participate in providing feedback to the team on testing efforts and process issues/opportunities.​

Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate and contribute as a QA team member in all of the ceremonies of agile team. 
  • Work in fast paced, multi team, multi project environment.
  • Reads and comprehends requirements/stories for testing.
  • Create test cases/script and record bugs/defects in the available testing tool.
  • Write test cases that covers all the basic, alternate and exception scenarios to deliver high quality product.
  • Communicate the issues/opportunities of testing with the team members and work with developers on the identified issues resolution/troubleshoot.
  • Tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
  • Understand the different types of mobile apps (native, Hybrid, web) and also different devices (iPhone, Android, Windows) from user perspective.
  • Coordinate testing effort with other team members and communicate adequately to the team about the test data needs.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience working in QA 
  • Must have recent Cable experience 
  • Must have 2 + years of experience testing on Mobile devices/Native App testing 
  • Must have GREAT communication
  • Must be able to do a skype interview 
  • Must know JIRA and Agile very well! 

Qualifications:
  • Native apps testing experience is a MUST qualification.
  • Experience using the tool  (like JIRA, ALM, and Zephyr) to write and execute test cases, log defects and also work with the team on stories refinement.
  • Strong understanding of AGILE software development life cycle (SDLC) and also Testing Life Cycle.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance process, tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of database schemas and querying tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to be productive on fast paced environment.
  • Ability to perform collaborative testing effort.
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
  • Ability to communicate with developers on issue troubleshooting and resolutions
  • Ability to work with cross-functional team of internal and external team members located onshore and offshore
  • A self-starter with keen attention to details with strong communication, and analytical skills.
