IT Cybersecurity Specialists

Responsible for determining enterprise information security standards. Develop and implements information security standards and procedures. Provide tactical information security advice and examining the ramifications of new technologies. Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure. Minimum: 10+ years of experience. Computer Security Systems Specialist Junior – Analyze and defines security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues. Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to MLS requirements. Gather and organize technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. Perform risk analyses, which also includes risk assessment. Minimum: 3 years of experience. Mid-Level – Analyze and defines security requirements for MLS issues. Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to MLS requirements. Guide effort to gather and organize technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. Perform risk analyses, which also includes risk assessment. Develop security standards. Minimum: 5 years of experience. CISSP or equivalent certification. Senior – Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to MLS requirements. Perform complex risk analyses ,which also include risk assessment. Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures. Minimum: CISSP or equivalent certification. Cyber-Security Analyst/Engineer Implement and administer cyber security tools and systems; develop policies and standards to ensure secure enterprise-wide operations performance and resiliency. Deploy, administer and provide support for security systems to include host endpoint protection systems, network based intrusion detection and prevention systems, application layer and traditional firewalls, vulnerability management and forensics utilities, and other infrastructure deployed and maintained by the ISO. Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs. Utilize security product dashboards and reporting to monitor, research, and respond to cyber security related events and incidents such as malicious code detection, intrusion detection, system configuration, and patch management issues. Perform risk assessments, conduct audits and validate that system functionality and security controls are implemented appropriately according to policy and industry best practices. Must be current with industry developments, standards and trends, malware inspection, firewalls, VPN, application proxies, identity management systems, and intrusion detection network and host based systems. Must have experience with network architecture, multiple OS platforms, and new technologies from a cyber-security perspective. Minimum: CISSP or equivalent certification. Security Engineer – Penetration Testing Conducts formal both automated and manual penetration tests using approved standard methodologies to identify and exploit vulnerabilities. Assesses security controls for large enterprise systems and applications, and hosting infrastructure. Evaluates configurations and implementations of firewalls, proxy servers, routers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), IDS / IPS, wireless networks, etc. against legal requirements, organization’s local policy, industry best practices. Documents technical and logical security findings identified during the security assessments, and report them in a timely manner. Provides consultative support with implementation of remediation steps, standards, and best practices. Minimum: 7 years of experience. Configuration Management Specialist Provides configuration management planning and operational support for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Minimum: 7 years of experience. Data Security Specialist Provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's information security. Provides support for facilitating and helping organizations identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of fire-wall and other related security issues on LANs/WANs. Knowledge of several of the following areas is required: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software firewalls and their implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet and electronic commerce technology. Minimum: 7 years of experience. Disaster Recovery Specialist Provides support in the development of emergency management and business recovery plans; perform functions pertaining to the business risk assessments; review and develop business recovery strategies; draft procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans; create response procedures and identifying communications channels; communicate with various response teams during testing and actual execution of recovery procedures. Support the design, development, installation, implementation and administration of backup solutions. Makes recommendations to the user community and the operations group on system enhancements. Previous experience in business recovery or disaster recovery planning required. General knowledge of business processes, management structures, and technology programs/platforms are preferred. Minimum: 7 years of experience. Document Support Specialist Mid-Level – Prepares and edits documents of a technical and/or managerial nature. Maintain logs relating to work in progress, meetings, etc. Prepare specialized communications, maintain logs on communications sent and received. Commensurate experience and education. Minimum: BA in related field with 5 years of experience. Senior – Prepares and edits documents of a technical and/or managerial nature. Documentation will often involve flow diagrams, configuration drawings, functional systems flow diagrams, graphics, etc. Knowledge of the use of word processing software and the use of advanced software features such as style sheets and macros.
